Travel Credits and ViaPoints
Two different things
ViaPoints are loyalty points earned through ViaPads Rewards.
Travel Credits are booking value that can be applied during checkout.
100 ViaPoints = $1 in Travel Credits. ViaPoints must be converted before they can be applied to a Booking.
Where Travel Credits can come from
Travel Credits may come from:
- ViaPoint redemption
- ViaPads promotions or goodwill
- restored Travel Credits from a canceled or refunded Booking
At checkout
Travel Credits reduce the amount that must be charged through Stripe. They do not reduce the Host's legitimate payout.
Travelers do not earn new ViaPoints on the portion of a Booking paid with Travel Credits.
Refunds
Travel Credits used for a Booking return to Travel Credits when refundable under the Booking's terms. Card-funded value returns to the original external payment method.
