Payments
ViaPads processes paid bookings through Stripe and automatically releases eligible Host earnings after check-in.
How Host payments work
Travelers pay through ViaPads. Paid Bookings are processed through Stripe, and Host earnings are tracked in ViaPads.
Set up Payments & Payouts
Before a Pad can be published, the Host must complete:
- Stripe Connect onboarding through ViaPads
- Required Stripe Identity verification
- Stripe account readiness for charges and payouts
Payout timing
A paid Booking becomes eligible for Host payout 24 hours after the Traveler actually checks in using “I’ve Arrived.” ViaPads processes eligible payouts automatically on a recurring schedule.
Stripe then handles delivery from the connected Stripe account to the Host's bank according to Stripe's payout timing and account settings.
Earnings breakdown
ViaPads records:
- Booking value
- ViaPads service fee
- any Host-funded pricing contribution
- Host net earnings
- ViaPads Rewards investment on eligible completed stays
- payout status
- refunds or reversals, when applicable
ViaPads funds Traveler Rewards separately. The Traveler's 5% ViaPoints reward does not reduce Host earnings.
If a payment or payout fails, ViaPads keeps the Booking and financial records in sync and surfaces genuine exceptions for review.
