Why Hosts verify

ViaPads requires Host identity verification before a Pad can be published. Verification helps protect the community and supports trusted Host profiles.

How to verify

When Host publishing is available:

1. Open Host Dashboard → Payments.
2. Choose Verify identity.
3. Complete the secure Stripe Identity flow.
4. ViaPads updates your verification status automatically when Stripe returns the result.

Privacy

Identity documents and ID numbers are handled by Stripe. ViaPads does not store those documents or ID numbers. Travelers may see that a Host is verified, but they do not see the underlying identity documents.

If Stripe later requires additional verification, ViaPads will reflect the updated status and prompt the Host as needed.
