Pricing
Hosts set any base Pad list price from $5 upward. ViaPads retains 20% of the original list price; Host waivers come from the Host's 80% share.
Setting your price
Hosts control their nightly Pad list price. The minimum base list price is $5 per night.
Pricing choices
Hosts can use:
- Standard price — your regular nightly price
- Last-minute price — applies when check-in is within 3 days
- Scheduled promotion — applies to selected future check-in dates
- Community-Supported Price — you contribute part or all of your Host share to make a stay more accessible
Host-funded reductions can be up to 80% of the original list price. They come only from the Host's 80% share and do not reduce ViaPads' 20% service fee.
A crossed-out original price is shown only when ViaPads has enough bona-fide price history to support it. New or recently changed prices can still be reduced without presenting an artificial former price.
Example
A $50 Pad with an 80% Host-funded reduction produces:
- Traveler price: $10
- ViaPads service fee: $10
- Host net: $0
ViaPads also funds Traveler Rewards on eligible completed stays. That Rewards investment does not reduce the Host payout.
