Government ID is required for Host verification through Stripe Identity; Traveler verification is currently optional.
Who needs government ID
ViaPads requires Hosts to complete Stripe Identity verification before publishing a Pad. Stripe may request a supported government-issued identity document and other verification steps.
Traveler identity verification is currently optional.
What Stripe accepts
Accepted document types and verification requirements are determined by Stripe and can vary by country, document, and account circumstances. Follow the instructions shown in the Stripe Identity flow rather than relying on a fixed ViaPads document list.
Privacy
Stripe handles the identity documents used for verification. ViaPads does not store the underlying identity documents or ID numbers.
If Stripe cannot verify an identity, follow the retry or additional-information instructions presented in the verification flow.
